Job Title: Victim Services Therapist Casual Position; 19 hours/week
Provide trauma-informed services to adult survivors of child sexual abuse, with a focus on male survivors of clergy abuse. Provide a wide range of highly skilled trauma-focused counseling and group work services for clients of Family Services (the agency) to assist them in meeting their social, emotional, or physical needs.
1. Provide trauma-informed therapeutic services for adult survivors of child sexual abuse and adult male survivors of clergy abuse clients of the agency, to assist them in meeting their social, emotional, or physical needs. Seeks out and utilizes supervision from the agency’s licensed clinical social worker on an ongoing basis.
2. Participates in continuing education and in-service programs as a means to upgrade or add to existing knowledge and skills. Networks with community resources to solicit client referrals.
3. Adhere to the conduct and service standards of Family Services Incorporated and its various funding sources. Maintain accurate and current information regarding issues and policies impacting survivors and their families. Safe guards the privacy of all clients of the agency and adheres to the principles of confidentiality.
4. Potentially provide trauma-informed therapeutic group work services for adult survivors of child sexual abuse and adult male survivors of clergy abuse clients of the agency, to assist them in meeting their social and/or emotional needs, based on client needs.
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) at the Master’s level. Licensed with a Master’s degree in social work from an accredited counseling program, or a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or related field from an accredited university and currently working on licensure with supervision. Minimum of two (2) years experience in human service field. Specialization working with adult survivors of child sexual abuse and/or adult male survivors of child sexual abuse preferred. The successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, documentation skills, office experience, computer proficiency, dependability and professionalism.
Required to obtain 65+ hours of victim advocacy training. Must be able to pass a criminal and child abuse clearance upon hire and thereafter annually or as requested. Some travel is necessary and access to reliable transportation is essential for training and development.

Work schedule will be set within regular office hours of Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. However, some evening appointments may be necessary to accommodate client schedules.
