About our guest speaker:

Catherine McCabe is a local Entrepreneur that owns 3 companies collectively employing over 100 residents of our community: ServiceMaster By Request, Merry Maids, and Greenbean Coffee House. With determination and a strong work ethic, Catherine was able to buy her 1st business, ServiceMaster By Request, a mere 11 years after starting her employment with them as a part-time house cleaner. With a desire to expand the business services portion of her company to the residential sector, Catherine purchased her 2nd company, Merry Maids, in 2014 and began a highly effective cross marketing campaign that catapulted her businesses to a multi-million-dollar revenue level.

Attending the school year in Altoona, PA , she spent her entire Summer vacations back in her hometown, the Bronx, NY. Raised in an abusive home and losing her mother at a young age, Catherine was no stranger to hard times. Never feeling like she fit in, Catherine decided to create a place where everyone felt like they belonged, the Greenbean Coffee House. Promoting a 100% Inclusive atmosphere, Catherine has used the Greenbean’s large social platform to give back to our community and nonprofit organizations through free public events, fundraisers, and donations. Catherine also serves as a Board Member for Contact Altoona, Blair County Suicide Prevention Task Force and the Keystone Boss Ladies, a non-profit organization she created in early 2018 to encourage an engaging and successful platform for high-level business Executives and Entrepreneurs.

Catherine is a 1997 graduate of Vista Adult School and she and her husband, Travis, have 3 sons, Julian (19), Braedon (15), and Adrian (14).
