Victim Services Counselor Advocate

Family Services Incorporated is seeking a full time Counselor Advocate for the Victim Services Program. Bachelor’s degree and minimum of two years of direct service experience preferred. Knowledge of and experience working with survivors of domestic and sexual violence is preferred. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal communication and time management skills; will provide counseling, court accompaniment, advocacy, and other direct services to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and other crimes; will exercise tact, diplomacy, and discretion in honoring client confidentiality while also having the ability to work with a diverse population of survivors and colleagues.
Requirements: completion of the mandatory comprehensive victim services training prior to working with clients; will have reliable transportation and a valid PA driver’s license and will pass all background checks including but not limited to a drug screen and Act 33/34.
Starting wage is $14 per hour or based upon experience. The position is full time with paid vacation, sick leave and holidays.
