The Program Specialist assists in developing, implementing and evaluating services for intellectually disabled people by coordinating services and providing on site supervision for direct service staff and family living providers.

The ideal candidate should have experience in the field and will be trained to have a working knowledge of the Pennsylvania Public Welfare Codes under Chapters 6400, 6500 and 2380.; be certified as a Medication Administration Trainer and being both a point person and a Certified Investigator for ODP’s Incident Management Protocols.


Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and 2 (two) years’ work experience working directly with intellectually disabled people


Associate’s degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and 4 (four) years’ work experience working directly with intellectually disabled people

Special training in Person Centered Thinking, knowledge of current Behavior Support practices and Program Specialist experience is preferred. Experience with Scheduling and/or Home and Community is a Plus.

Starting wage is $16.00 per hour or more dependent upon experience. Benefits include: Health; 401(k) with match; Vacation; Sick Leave; Life/LTD.
