Family Services is seeking a qualified candidate for the Position of Victim Services Program Director. Minimum education, training and/or experience required for hiring: A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Business or related field, and a minimum of two (2) years’ work experience with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and other crime victims.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Business or related field, and a minimum of five (5) years’ work experience with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and other crime victims. Reliable transportation and a valid PA driver’s license are required. Act 33/34 clearances required, along with FBI background check and negative drug screen.
Regardless of education or experience, must demonstrate increasing responsibility for employee, program and budget development and supervision.
This position is responsible for coordinating the services provided by the Victim Services team including the DAP and Transitional Housing Programs, the Protection From Abuse Office, and Crime Victim Support Services; and works with the Domestic Abuse Project Advisory Committee and Director of Operations in framing the annual and long range program and fiscal plans of the agency’s domestic violence, sexual assault, other crime victims and Transitional Housing Program. Is responsible for recruiting, training and supervising staff assigned to the Victim Services team.
