You
Are Not Alone
Domestic
violence occurs in millions of families of all races, religions,
sexual orientations, and economic and social backgrounds. Once that
violence begins, it often becomes more frequent and severe. The
victim can be intimidated into thinking that the abuse is deserved,
that it is her fault. It is not. Domestic violence is a destructive
behavior that must be stopped. Our program provides needed help
for victims, their dependent children and a significant other. All
services are free and strictly confidential as outlined in our agency
Confidentiality Policy. As required by this policy, we must report
all cases of suspected child abuse to Childline, the 24-hour Department
of Public Welfare hotline.
