Offering those without a place to call home in our community a safe, clean, supportive environment, to create a new direction in their journey.

The reasons for homelessness are many - death, divorce, loss of job, financial hardships, drug and alcohol issues, and emotional or mental concerns are all factors for those who stay at the Emergen-cy Shelter Project. Nearly 100% of those utilizing the ESP have no income. Case management ser-vices are provided to assist in job training, employment, social services, and appropriate housing.

Criteria for Admission

Homeless or near homeless
Medically stable
Not a threat to self, other residents, or staff
Able to comply with program requirements
Willing to live cooperatively in a communal setting
Not intoxicated or under the influence at the time of intake
Mental/emotional state must be sufficiently stable for participation in program
(and willing to comply with program recommendations)

The shelter is open and staffed 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
There are NO fees to use this service.

Anyone that becomes homeless does not have to stay that way.

All services are strictly confidential as outlined in the agency’s Confidentiality Policy.  As required by this policy, Family Services Incorporated must report all cases of suspected child abuse to Childline, the 24-hour Department of Public Welfare hotline.
